Job Title: Micron Solar Panel AssemblerJob Description:
We are seeking a Micron Solar Panel Production Technician to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. The Solar Panel Technician performs precision assembly, micro-welding, bonding, and closeout processes for satellite solar panel systems. This role focuses on the production and assembly of solar panels using specialized micro-welding, busbar techniques, applying adhesives to panel assemblies, securing panels, and supporting vacuum curing and testing preparation. The position requires mechanical aptitude, the ability to follow detailed procedures, and comfort performing repetitive tasks in a production environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable with fine assembly work, and brings a collaborative, flexible approach to production.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble and integrate solar panel kits, including busbars and component connections.
- Operate precision micro-welding and pulse welding equipment to join small components.
- Apply adhesives to designated bonding locations on solar panel assemblies and structures according to specifications.
- Execute bonding processes carefully to avoid excess adhesive, contamination, or missed application points.
- Inspect and test solar panel assemblies for electrical connectivity and quality standards.
- Handle small, delicate, and sensitive solar panel components while maintaining precision and quality standards.
- Follow standard work instructions and maintain high-quality documentation.
- Collaborate with engineers, production leads, and quality teams to troubleshoot assembly issues.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
Essential Skills:
- Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
- Attention to detail and careful handling.
- Experience in assembly and production.
- Ability to use hand tools effectively.
- Fabrication and control panel skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Associates degree or certificate in a technical area.
- Assembly or manufacturing experience.
- High aptitude for working with small electronics, including soldering of small electrical components.
- Experience in the space or aeronautical field.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
