Position Overview
The QC Coordinator will perform quality inspection activities on aircraft parts, sub-assemblies, and major assemblies in accordance with engineering specifications and regulatory standards. Working in a team-oriented manufacturing environment, this role supports Initial Phase, Composites, and Final Phase operations to ensure all products meet type design data and the company’s quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Perform inspections using engineering drawings, route cards, travelers, work instructions, QA procedures, and technical specifications.
- Conduct preliminary, progressive, and final inspections of aircraft structures and systems.
- Verify functional operations, inspect for FOD (Foreign Object Debris), and ensure complete and accurate documentation.
- Witness, verify, and document required manufacturing process steps.
- Perform conformity and first article inspections to ensure FAA compliance.
- Ensure proper use and safe storage of shop tools and equipment.
- Promote and practice safety procedures; report hazards and participate in safety investigations.
Additional Functions:
- Provide technical support to manufacturing staff as needed.
- Conduct area inspections to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
