Contract Position
Pay Estimated: $22.45-$27.45/Hour

Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.
Responsibilities:
Cut, shape, and form raw materials to specified dimensions using manual or semi-automated machines.
Operate equipment such as lathes, mills, routers, drill presses, brakes, shears, and grinders.
Read and interpret basic engineering drawings, process sheets, and sketches to perform machining tasks.
Set up machines, make necessary adjustments, and perform routine maintenance.
Use precision measuring tools (gauges, jigs, and fixtures) to verify dimensional accuracy.
Monitor product quality using statistical process control or other standard inspection techniques.
Interface with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow and resolve basic issues.
Follow general instructions for routine work; receive detailed guidance for new or specialized assignments.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
High school diploma or GED required.
Technical certificate or 1+ year of hands-on machining or machine operation experience.
Ability to interpret engineering and CAD drawings to support machining tasks.
Proficient in using mechanical hand tools and basic power tools.
Familiarity with shop safety procedures, measuring devices, and basic machine tool operation.
Basic computer literacy and organizational skills required.
Must be able to work on-site and follow standard operating procedures.
