Job Title: Apprentice Structural Assembler
Job Description
As an Apprentice Structural Assembler, you will report to the Production Supervisor and be responsible for installing and assembling components on aircraft structures. This position requires proficiency in blueprint reading, hole layout, countersinking, and deburring, with a strong focus on meeting schedule and production requirements.
Responsibilities
- Install and assemble components on aircraft structures.
- Read and interpret blueprints for assembly tasks.
- Perform countersinking and deburring operations.
- Fit and install conventional rivets and Hi-Lite fasteners.
- Assemble and fit pre-fabricated parts to form subassemblies on benches or directly on aircraft structures.
- Apply manual solvent, conductive chemical conversion treatment, and paint touch-up.
- Use a variety of power and hand tools, jigs, fixtures, and other equipment.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures, wearing PPE at all times.
- Work rotating shifts, including days, afternoons, nights, and overtime as required.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and hole layout.
- Experience in countersinking and deburring.
- Ability to fit and install conventional rivets and Hi-Lite fasteners.
- Mechanical inclination and ability to use pneumatic and power hand tools.
- 3+ years of experience as an aircraft structural assembler.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Completion of metal fabrication course, aerospace structures course, or aeronautical technology education.
- Ability to perform drilling, countersinking, torqueing, and installation as per blueprint.
- Ability to pass a Pulmonary Fit Test (PFT) for respirator fitting.
- Work in restricted spaces and at heights, bend, twist, and perform heavy lifting.
- Ability to stand for 7 hours of an 8-hour shift.

Work Environment
The work environment is an aerospace manufacturing shop floor that is clean and bright. Shifts are from Monday to Friday, with day shifts from 7 am to 3 pm and night shifts from 3 pm to 11 pm. Employees must adhere to safety standards, including wearing personal protective equipment

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
