Benefits

Transportation Service Human Resources (TSHRS) full-time employees earn paid annual (vacation) leave totaling two to five weeks per year (based on years of service) and 15 days sick leave per year, both accrued on a bi-weekly basis. Employees also are granted 10 holidays and up to seven personal leave days per year. Based on performance, employees can earn salary increases (increments) and performance bonuses when funding is provided in the State budget. A contributory retirement system, social security benefits, and Workmen‘s Compensation insurance coverage are also provided. TSHRS employees have the opportunity to join subsidized health-related insurance plans, non-subsidized group life and accident insurance plans; savings bonds, deferred compensation plans, various employee organizations and the State Employees Credit Union.
