Position Summary:
This position is on 2nd Shift Monday-Friday. However, training will take place during 1st Shift till the Lead or Supervisor of the department has determined training has been successful.
Level one shipping/receiving clerks working under direct supervision to complete basic shipping and receiving tasks such as loading and unloading trucks, verifying packaging slips and order contents, performing visual inspection, as well as packaging product for either outside processing or finished goods. Level one shipping clerks will demonstrate basic packaging skills such as part protection, verify packaging information, boxing, taping, wrapping, stenciling, banding, weighing, etc. All shipping and rec. clerks will be forklift certified and may be expected to demonstrate basic computer skills. Typically, 0-1 years of experience.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Receives product from outside vendors.
- Verifies product count prior to shipment and upon receiving.
- Assists in loading and unloading products as needed.
- Builds boxes and places finished or in process components in protective packaging for preventing handling damage during transport.
- Completes and reviews documentation for accurate information and records in both receiving and shipping.
- Pulls and fulfills product order requests from requesting departments.
- Participates in inventory counts as required.
- May be asked to assist with materials handling as needed.

Required Experience:
