The field tech/engineer shall provide on-site field engineering and technical support services to Pearl Harbor Navy Shipyard Code 200 (Aegis Branch) and other related technical support tasks as required. The field tech/engineer will perform shipboard fleet technical services for the Aegis Weapon System (AWS) infrastructure, AWS Computing Infrastructure (ACI) and AEGIS Local Area Network (LAN) interconnect system (ALIS). Field tech/Engineer will assist military and government personnel to analyze and resolve malfunctions detected during equipment operation to include the following:
• Engineering and technical evaluations
• System assessments
• Equipment light off checks
• Equipment functional checks
• Onboard and distance support technical assists
• Troubleshooting and equipment repair, to include peripheral systems and support equipment
• Perform maintenance, fault isolation, testing, and alignments, on assigned equipment using the Operational Readiness Testing System (ORTS), Computer Room User’s Manual (CRUM) and supporting work package documentation
• Leverage preventive and corrective maintenance as training opportunities to develop and enhance US Navy Sailor technical proficiency
• Work as a team with system engineers, computer program developers, test engineers, technicians, and customer representatives to support Aegis Weapon System (AWS) readiness as required
• Support special tests, experimentation and investigations
• Provide verbal and written reports to leadership and other key functional and program organizations as required
• Provide short duration underway technical assistance and support (5 travel may be required)

Basic Qualifications:
• Experience as a technician/engineer working on an Aegis ship or Aegis Ashore

• Complete understanding and considerable experience with the maintenance and operation of USN Aegis Combat/Weapon Systems as an AWS Computing Infrastructure (ACI) and/or Aegis Computer Network Technician (ACNT) Technician for one or more in-service Aegis baselines

• Experience in AEGIS Combat Systems as an AEGIS Computer / Display / ACNT technician with a thorough understanding of Baseline 9.X

• Familiarity with Navy Preventative Maintenance System (PMS), OPNAVINST 4790 series)

• Experience working with MIL-SPEC and COTS equipment/systems
Desired Skills:
• Experience with hardware, software, network test equipment used to evaluate and correct operational failures (i.e. fiber optic testers, multimeters, o-scopes) required
• Experience in AEGIS Combat Systems with a thorough understanding of Baselines 5.X and 7.X, highly desired
• Experience with Battle Force Team Trainer (BFTT) and Aegis Combat Training System (ACTS) highly desired
• Experience with TI-12H/TI-16 AWS Computing Infrastructure highly desired
• Fiber Optic Repair technician certification (MIL-STD-2042/MIL-STD-1678) and/or Connection/Wire Wrap certification (MIL-STD-1130C) highly desired
• IAT level II certification to support privileged system administrator access to tactical AWS networks highly desired
• Cisco CCNA certification highly desired
• LINUX-based open architecture experience and its application to the U.S. NAVY AWS Computing Infrastructure (ACI)
• Experience with Combat System Support Equipment (CSSE)
• Basic electronic theory
• Electronics troubleshooting
• Familiarity with technical publications and documentation
• Must possess a working knowledge of general-purpose test equipment, diagnostic tools, computers and computer programs

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
