Responsibilities:

The job holder will act as Project Executive/Project director to lead team manufacturing innovation (MI) of Airbus China R&D and Innovation centre. Mission for this job is to bring innovation to aircraft manufacturing and delivery of Airbus.

The job holder is to lead a team with experts of advanced manufacturing to provide and coordinate innovation solutions for aircraft manufacturing, assembly and delivery in FAL-A with expertise and know-how on DDMS. 

It’s the job holder’s responsibility to ensure successful preparation, planning, execution and delivery of the local innovation projects on TCQ. It includes a full cycle of project planning, product management, budget allocation, liaise with global and local stakeholders and cooperation partners, to support growth of Airbus business in China with innovation of manufacturing solutions.

  • Lead MI team to provide best innovative solutions to FAL-A and delivery centre Tianjin

  • Reach out to relevant stakeholders to get the first-hand information and technology breakthroughs to identify opportunities of manufacturing innovation for FAL-A and delivery centre, majorly focusing on robotic, automation and sustainability

  • Clear definition of requirements based on opportunities of innovation found in FAL-A

  • Create solutions and business models based on technology innovation and FAL-A requirements and get stakeholders’ buy-in

  • Lead team to deliver innovation solutions or products with product management and project management methodology 

  • Liaises with stakeholders of steering and partners to ensure support on team activities

  • Delivery owner of all team projects (timing, resource, coordination)

  • Ensure compliance to all client requirements and appropriate communication to clients and ensure efficient implementation of all systems

  • Build team competency

 

 

Qualifications

Education:

  • Aerospace, Industrial engineering, manufacturing, automation related major is preferred

  •  Master degree or above

Experience:

  • 10 years’ experience in manufacturing, engineering, development, automation, robotics or similar, especially in innovation of  manufacturing, strong expertise in advanced manufacturing (for aircraft is plus)

  • Autonomy in working, pro-active attitude and have an ownership in team delivery

  • Experience in coordination with various stakeholders like multiple divisions and business units to ensure corporate support

  • Experience in managing a team of multiple project managers for multiple parallel running projects to ensure delivery with planned timing, cost and quality (TCQ)

  • Experience in team management and development, team leader to encourage and enhance team 

  • Solid foundation in requirements management, good analytical skills, structured way of thinking, open minded

  • Team and project financial and people management

  • Abroad experience is appreciated

  • Ability to communicate across a broad range of technical disciplines

  • Flexible and willing to undertake a wide range of activities in the course of daily business

  • Experience of Management Information System (MES&43;ERP)

  • CAD, software, Hands-on in manufacturing, etc.. skills will be plus

  • Fluent English is a must
