Morson Edge is recruiting for an Aircraft Electrical Fitter to support work on the H135/H145 helicopter fleet at RAF Valley, Anglesey
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing engineering team supporting one of the UK’s most important military aviation training programmes.
You will be responsible for assisting with the movement, line maintenance, and base maintenance of the H135/H145 fleet. This role ensures the safe, effective, and continuous operation of the aircraft used in the UK’s Defence Helicopter Flying School.
Location: RAF Valley, LL65
Duration: 6 month contract
Pay: 20.23 ph PAYE / 27.07 ph Umbrella
Key Responsibilities
• Provide engineering operational support to Flight Operations
• Carry out maintenance inspections and repairs as directed by the Shift Supervisor or Certifying Engineer
• Maintain high standards of workmanship to ensure aircraft safety and airworthiness
• Complete maintenance tasks including electrical and avionic systems in line with OEM instructions
• Conduct off-aircraft technical work in workshops as required
• Assist with general hangar operations, including aircraft movement and housekeeping
Knowledge & Skills
Essential:
• Strong understanding of electrical and avionic systems
• Experience using specialised test equipment
• Up-to-date knowledge of:
– Flight/Airport Operations
– Aircraft Line Maintenance
– Aircraft Base Maintenance
Desirable Skills:
• Experience with military aviation
• Familiarity with H135 helicopters
• Knowledge of EASA Part 145 and Part M regulations
Qualifications
Essential:
• Completed apprenticeship in Aircraft Maintenance or related discipline
Desirable:
• Experience on H135/ H145
Experience Required

• Base Maintenance experience
• Line Maintenance and Flight Operations experience
Desirable:
• Experience with Airbus helicopter products
• Military aviation background
