Morson Edge is supporting Morson Praxis in the recruitment of Aircraft Fitters to support a major aerospace project based in Filton.

Key Information:

• Location: Filton, Bristol
• Rate: 27.50 per hour (LTD)
• Hours: 40 per week (mixture of shift and standard days)
• Contract: 12 months initial
• Start: ASAP

Key Responsibilties:

• Perform structural and mechanical fitting tasks on aircraft components and assemblies
• Install, integrate and test aircraft fuel systems including pipework, tanks, pumps and associated components
• Undertake landing gear assembly, installation, rigging and functional checks
• Carry out drilling, riveting, bolting, sealing and associated operations
• Work from engineering drawings, build instructions and technical documentation
• Maintain compliance with safety, quality and build standards
• Support continuous improvement and workplace organisation initiatives
• Complete all associated documentation in line with company processes

Requirements: 

• Time-served apprenticeship in Aircraft Fitting, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
• Previous aerospace production or maintenance experience preferred
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and build specifications
• Strong awareness of health, safety and environmental procedures
• Flexible approach with willingness to support additional hours when required
