Job Description

We are seeking skilled Aircraft Mechanics with rotary wing experience to join our team. This is an indefinite contract position with the potential for permanent employment, where you will perform repairs and installations on LUH-72, H-125, H-145, and BK-117 aircraft as part of their retrofit program.

Responsibilities

• Perform fabrication, assembly, installation, repair, replacement, adjustment, and alignment of parts and components.
• Work from three-dimensional blueprints, sketches, diagrams, technical manuals, work orders, inspection reports, and similar documentation.
• Conduct functional checks of systems to ensure proper function.
• Perform troubleshooting to diagnose malfunctions or failures on aircraft systems such as equipment furnishings, fire protection, fuel system, hydraulics, landing gear, doors, fuselage, stabilizer, rotor systems, power plant, and engine controls.
• Diagnose the cause of malfunctions, identify failures, and determine corrective actions to restore systems to required operating specifications and standards.

Essential Skills

• 6+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance.
• A&P License required.
• Experience with rotary wing aircraft, specifically models such as LUH-72, EC-145, EC-135, BK-117, and AS350.
• Knowledge of Part 121 and Part 145 regulations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with UH-60 and Bell aircraft is advantageous.
• Consideration for fixed-wing experience on a case-by-case basis.

Work Environment

Work in a hangar/OEM setting with a primary schedule of 1st shift, Monday to Thursday. Current contractors are averaging 45-50 hours a week. Flexibility may be needed to cover shifts on Fridays and/or Saturdays.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of COLUMBUS, MS.

The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $43.75/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in COLUMBUS,MS.
