Job Title: Sealer

Job Description

This role focuses on sealing, filleting, fay sealing, cap sealing, and brush coating for fuel cell and wing section assemblies in a manufacturing environment. You apply scotch cast, leveling compound, aerodynamic sealants, and perform pressure testing while working from engineering drawings, process documents, specifications, and quality control requirements. You contribute directly to the quality and safety of aerospace components by following established processes and procedures with precision and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Seal, fillet, fay seal, cap seal, and brush coat fuel cell and wing section assemblies according to established processes and procedures.
  • Apply scotch cast, leveling compounds, aerodynamic sealants, and other sealing materials to assemblies as specified.
  • Perform pressure tests on sealed assemblies to verify integrity and compliance with quality requirements.
  • Work from engineering drawings, blueprints, process documents, and specifications to complete tasks accurately.
  • Follow quality control requirements and inspection criteria to ensure all work meets aerospace standards.
  • Use hand tools and production equipment safely and effectively during sealing and related fabrication tasks.
  • Perform deburring and basic fabrication tasks as needed to prepare parts and assemblies for sealing.
  • Carry out part masking and chemical processing–related masking operations in accordance with process instructions.
  • Support anodizing and hand-forming–related preparation activities where required for sealing operations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to all safety and manufacturing guidelines.
  • Collaborate with assembly line and production teams to meet schedule, throughput, and quality targets.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in sealing, fabrication, or closely related aerospace manufacturing work (3+ years may be considered).
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and process specifications.
  • Hands-on experience with deburring, fabrication, and basic assembly-line operations.
  • Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively in a production environment.
  • Experience with part masking and masking for chemical processing or finishing operations.
  • Familiarity with anodizing and hand forming processes in a manufacturing setting.
  • Understanding of aerospace-quality standards and quality control requirements.
  • Eligibility to be rehired by major aerospace manufacturers, as required by customer standards.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and established procedures with strong attention to detail.
  • Valid Birth Certificate or Passport available for required documentation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working with Boeing aircraft components or similar aerospace products.
  • Previous experience on high-volume assembly lines in a manufacturing setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform precise sealing work on complex assemblies.
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to manufacturing best practices.
  • Flexibility to support extended work hours when production needs require it.

Why Work Here?

You join a manufacturing operation located in an area with a relatively low cost of living, helping your earnings go further. The facility typically offers substantial opportunities for overtime, with many contractors working extended hours each week, which can significantly increase total compensation. You become part of a production environment where your specialized skills in sealing and fabrication directly support high-impact aerospace projects and long-term career growth.

Work Environment

You work in a manufacturing environment focused on aerospace components, including fuel cell and wing section assemblies. The setting involves production lines, fabrication areas, and chemical processing and finishing operations, where you regularly use hand tools and follow detailed process documentation. Work hours can be extensive, and there is often significant overtime available, with many workers logging well above a standard 40-hour week. You operate in a safety-conscious, process-driven facility that emphasizes adherence to quality standards, proper use of tools and materials, and consistent compliance with established manufacturing procedures.
