We are seeking a highly skilled Applications Architect to lead the analysis, design, and documentation of enterprise application architectures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application inventory analysis, architecture modeling, and system integration, with a focus on cost containment and process improvement. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure that application development aligns with enterprise architecture standards and business objectives.

Position is contingent upon contract award.

• Analyze the current application inventory to identify opportunities for integration, modernization, and cost savings.
• Develop and maintain detailed application architecture guidelines, diagrams, and documentation, including version control and release tracking.
• Ensure architectural compliance with frameworks such as TOGAF or similar enterprise architecture standards.
• Collaborate with other architects, project managers, and technical leads to ensure that development efforts align with the overall system model and enterprise goals.
• Design, document, and monitor application layering and component dependencies, including:
  • User Interface
  • Deployment
  • Public Interface
  • Application Domain
  • Application Infrastructure
  • Technical Frameworks and Platforms
• Provide architectural oversight and guidance throughout the application lifecycle, from planning to deployment and maintenance.

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is desired.
• Alternatively, 5+ years of equivalent experience in IT environments may be considered.
• Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive application architecture analysis and provide actionable recommendations.
• Proven experience maintaining architecture documentation and ensuring compliance with enterprise frameworks.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with enterprise architecture tools and modeling languages (e.g., ArchiMate, UML, Sparx EA, Visio).
• Experience in Agile or DevSecOps environments.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and modern application deployment strategies.
