As an Assistant General Counsel for the products business under Honeywell Building Automation (BA), you will play a crucial role in providing strategic legal advice and support business growth. You will join a dynamic legal team that operates in true partnership and provide legal & compliance support across three global products business units ( Fire, Security and Building Management Systems). You will report directly to the General Counsel for BA global products business and work out of our BA headquarters in Atlanta on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will support our BA products business by providing legal guidance and support to internal stakeholders, ensuring that our operations and transactions comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies. Your work will span a wide range of legal subjects.

Key Responsibilities

  •  Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts, licensing agreements, channel partner agreements, SaaS agreements etc.
  •  Support the continuous improvement of contracting standards and process, including updating templates, implementing companys global standard terms applicable to products business units, overseeing channel partner contracts rollout etc.
  •  Provide legal and compliance advice to business stakeholders on a wide range of subjects, including anti-trust, anti-corruption, cybersecurity, product safety and security, etc.
  •  Collaborate with IP counsel on patent and other IP related matters, including IP license, joint development agreements, patent enforcement, etc.
  •  Work with litigation counsel to manage litigation matters and other disputes
  •  Supporting new product development and enhancement initiatives and review PIAs and advise on other privacy issue in collaboration with Privacy Counsel.
  •  Provide legal & compliance trainings to business stakeholders
  •  Collaborate with colleagues to work on cross-functional initiatives and special projects to support business growth

You Must Have

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent
  • 8+ years of experience practicing law
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Commitment to ethical conduct and professional integrity
