Job Description:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Bid Officer to join the team with our prestigious client at their site in Stevenage Job Duties:
  • Research, analyse, and evaluate bid opportunities within the aerospace and aviation industry
  • Prepare and submit bid proposals, ensuring compliance with client requirements and deadlines
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and develop bid strategies
  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients, competitors, and industry trends
  • Review and interpret bid documents, contracts, and specifications
  • Coordinate and participate in bid meetings, both internally and with clients
  • Prepare and maintain bid documentation, records, and databases
  • Assist in pricing and cost estimation for bid proposals
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor and track the progress of bids, providing regular updates to stakeholders
  • Support the negotiation and closing of contracts
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the bid management process
Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in bid management or a similar role within the aerospace and aviation industry
  • Strong understanding of bid processes, including proposal development, pricing, and contract negotiation
  • Excellent analytical and research skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient in using bid management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Engineering, Aviation Management)
Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in bid management or a related role
  • Prior experience within the aerospace and aviation industry is highly desirable
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Deep knowledge of the aerospace and aviation industry, including key players and market dynamics
  • Understanding of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional certifications related to bid management or aviation industry
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field
Working Conditions:
