Blade Tech
Bring your experience and ideas and help us bring the highest quality products and service to our customers. This role will be an integral part of the Bell team. You’ll be able to hone your technical abilities through blade repair activities while working under direction of Production and Quality management.
What you’ll be doing as a Blade Tech
· Perform composite repairs on aircraft components in accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Rotor blade repair activities include sanding, cleaning, and blade specific maintenance.
· Minor repairs and balancing of Main and Tail rotor blades.
· Able to read and interpret repair instructions, make accurate measurements, and read blueprints.
· Ability to apply sealants as required for blade repairs.
· Knowledge of and demonstrates safe work habits to include always wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
· Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
· Capable of standing for extended periods during the entire duration of shift.
· Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.
· Flexibility to bend, stoop, and crouch as required for tasks.
· Good vision, including the ability to focus on small details and identify defects.
· Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and potential issues.
· Willingness to follow instructions and ask for clarification when needed.
