Job Objective
The Building Maintenance Technician performs scheduled maintenance, various repairs, and preservation on Metro Aviation headquarters’ building.
Essential Functions
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, replacing air filters, and cleaning HVAC systems
- Identify and repair issues with building systems and equipment
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work
- Ensure the safety and comfort of building occupants by maintaining a clean and well-functioning building
- Collaborate with other members of the maintenance team to ensure the smooth operation of the building
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSA)
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Building Maintenance Technician or similar role
Physical Demands
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
- Must be able to access and inspect areas of buildings and grounds
Work Environment
- Indoor/outdoor shop environment with potential extreme hot and cold temperatures
- Exposure to hazardous chemicals is possible
- Moderate to loud noise level
Work Status, Schedule, & Travel
- Full-time
- Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
- No travel required
