Job Description:

The Vendor Surveillance Supervisor/Case Auditor provides regulatory oversight of maintenance vendors, Powerplant, and approved production repair stations. He/She monitors vendor compliance for parts and repair specifications. This position conducts Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) audits and inspections of aircraft maintenance operations related to regulatory non-compliance, quality deficiencies, and identified areas of risk. The Vendor Surveillance Supervisor/Case Auditor provides continued analysis and surveillance of internal and external operations. He/She ensures requirements of UPS continuous airworthiness maintenance program are fulfilled.

This position conducts Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) audits and inspections of aircraft maintenance operations related to regulatory non-compliance, quality deficiencies, and identified areas of risk. The Vendor Surveillance Supervisor/Case Auditor provides continued analysis and surveillance of internal and external operations. He/She ensures requirements of UPS continuous airworthiness maintenance program are fulfilled.                                                      

Responsibilities:                                                                                                         

  • Support the development and execution of the annual AIE schedule and the tracking of the annual business plan.
  • Review evaluation results, recommendations, and responses for completeness.
  • Ensuring adequate corrective action responses are submitted. Verify implementation of solutions on corrective action plans.  
  • Identify and communicate significant findings and recommendations.  
  • Compile objective evidence of interviews conducted, documentation reviewed, observations, and performance inspections to determine whether business is being conducted in accordance with established regulations, procedures, and policies. 
  • Provide facts on business operations so management has information needed to refine, correct, or streamline operating practices and procedures.   
  • Plan, schedule, perform, document, and report findings for required audits/evaluations.
  • Assist in developing and updating audit checklists.
  • Assist in developing quarterly summaries of audits/evaluations results.
  • Identify and communicate significant findings and recommendations.  
  • Compile objective evidence of interviews conducted, documentation reviewed, observations, and performance inspections to determine whether business is being conducted in accordance with established regulations, procedures, and policies.

Qualifications:

  • Possess A&P License
  • Corporate Compliance and Ethics familiarization and knowledge.
  • UPSCO experience in relevant area assigned to evaluate and or audit;
  • Maintenance & Engineering and/or Flight Operations.
  • Knowledge and understanding of UPSCO Company manuals, processes and procedures.
  • Be familiar with Operations Specifications and manuals required by 14 CFR. 
  • Understanding of the FAA SAS data collection, data reporting, and data review processes. 
  • Have a working knowledge of IATA, IOSA, and IATA Standards and Recommended Practices.
  • Be familiar with company data collection, analytical tools, and systems. 
  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Demonstrate excellent facilitation skills

  • Job Grade 20I
  • Monday - Friday, some weekends
  • Flexible Travel - up to 60
