Join BAE Systems’ Countermeasure & Electromagnetic Attack Solutions (CEMA) business area in Hudson, New Hampshire, and lead the charge on a high-impact, funded program revolutionizing electronic warfare for military aircraft. This dynamic initiative is advancing the future of electronic warfare with the Electromagnetic Battle Management (EMBM) system. As a Senior Principal Software Engineer III, you will serve as the technical architect and lead software designer for EMBM, setting the foundation for next-generation capabilities that disrupt adversary long range kill chains.
In this strategic, customer-facing role you’ll engage directly with our company leaders and domestic partners presenting technical solutions, shaping requirements, and influencing the future direction of electronic warfare. Your work will directly shape how warfighters maintain dominance in contested environments for decades to come.
What Youll Do
- Execute a software EMBM architecture that integrates multiple EMBM functions into a comprehensive EMBM Engine while advancing open architecture initiatives.
- Define and orchestrate the EMBM technical roadmap, aligning capability development and delivery with a comprehensive EMBM vision.
- Serve as the software technical interface to customers, presenting architecture concepts, leading technical interchange meetings and aligning system designs with mission needs.
- Drive innovation using modern C++ in Linux environments, with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), cloud-native architectures and supporting real-time processing pipelines.
- Collaborate with Systems, Hardware and Test teams on system-level integration of advanced electronic warfare capabilities.
- Mentor and guide software engineers, fostering technical excellence and future technical leaders.
- Champion Agile and DevSecOps practices with CI/CD pipelines, automated test environments, and secure development standards.
