1st shift CMM Programmer
Title: CMM Programmer
Status: Hourly

Reporting Relationship: Reports directly to Quality Supervisor
Location: Mentor, OH
Education: Minimum of A.S. in mechanical engineering and/or extensive background in airfoils layout inspection or tool building. Strong programming background desired. Computer knowledge of AutoCad, IGES, Excel, and Unigraphics is a plus. Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
Personal Characteristics: Able to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality/ quantity. Able to work flexible hours with a history of dependability as demonstrated with strong attendance record. Comfortable using a team approach to problem solving. Have strong sense of urgency. Individual must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers and supervisors.
Work Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience as an operator in a manufacturing environment. Previous casting experience is a plus.
Principal Area of Responsibility: Program LK, Wenzel and Zeiss Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to perform dimensional inspection of castings, fixtures and gages. As part of this function, will review complete blueprints of airfoil castings gages in preparation for writing inspection programs. Will work with Quality Engineers and Product Engineers in the development of inspection plans for gathering and reporting of information. Train CMM production operators and create/update procedures as required.
