The Certifying Technician 2 will report to the Production Manager andProduction Supervisors and be responsible for ensuring that required standardsof quality are achieved for all work carried out within the area.
Summary of KeyResponsibilities:
- Ensure that allmaintenance is conducted in accordance with approved company procedures
- Assist in and accomplishrepairs, replacements, modifications, overhaul and inspections on aircraft andassociated flight or support equipment in keeping with the Air Navigation Order(Overseas Territories) and Civil Airworthiness requirements
- Keep informed of relevantairworthiness/company publications and procedures e.g., O.T.A.Rs., CompanyMaintenance and Airworthiness Management Exposition Manual, Engineering andSafety Bulletins
- Ensure required qualitystandards are achieved for all work being completed
- Ensure airworthiness ofcompany aircraft through adherence to industry standards and approved programcompliance
- Supervise licensed and unlicensedaircraft mechanics to ensure their work meets required standards such that aCertificate of Release to Service can be issued
- Ensure the availability ofthe required technical data for the completion of work in a safe and efficientmanner
- Ensure facilities andenvironment are appropriate for planned maintenance
- Continuously seek to develop and improve skill in accomplishingaircraft maintenance tasks
- Other duties as may berequired
RequirementsQualifications, Skills & Experience:
- Must possess an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) qualification from arecognized National Aviation Authority (NAA)
- Have at least five (5) years of experience and training on the DHC-6 and/orSaab-340 series aircraft to hold a CT2 approval
- Satisfy established Competency Review requirements
- Ability to read schematic diagrams and troubleshoot aircraft systems
- Must be disciplined, organized, honest and trustworthy
- Must be methodical, punctual and highly motivated
- Demonstrate an aptitude for technical and mechanical work
- Must possess good interpersonal, oral and written communication skillsin the English language
- Perform duties of the supervisor on an interim bases when necessary
- Must be able to work on a shift system, including nights and weekends on a rostered basis
