Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a talented Compliance Monitoring Auditor to support our protection management with technical expertise in assuring the safe and compliant operation of our fleet.
This is a dynamic position combining technical oversight, regulatory interpretation, cross-departmental collaboration and proactive safety engagement to help uphold the highest standards of airworthiness, operational integrity and continuous improvement within our organization.
The compliance monitoring auditor will perform independent monitoring, act as a technical investigator and contribute to our Safety Management System.

Compliance Monitoring CAMO (60)
- Assist Compliance Monitoring Manager in establishing the audit scopes to ensure that all relevant EASA requirements (Part-M, Part-CAMO, Part-145), international standards (IOSA Section 4 MNT), Lufthansa Group policies and Brussels Airlines procedures are assessed.
- Plan, prepare and conduct internal audits within CAMO to evaluate compliance with relevant EASA requirements, international standards and company procedures
- Plan, prepare, and conduct audits of contracted maintenance organizations (MROs) to verify conformity with applicable airworthiness and safety requirements as well as to ensure adherence to contractual obligations
- Participate in audits conducted by external parties (BCAA, IATA, LHG…) within CAMO and provide expertise in addressing the findings
- Cooperate closely and advise CAMO management on compliance monitoring issues and best practices
Compliance Monitoring general (20)
- Plan and conduct internal audits in the domains where technical knowledge would be necessary to evaluate compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and company standards
- Identify and record findings and opportunities for improvement and provide the evidence necessary to substantiate such findings, and follow up with the relevant stakeholders.
Safety Management CAMO (20)
- Provide technical expertise to Safety Investigators, conduct interviews with CAMO personnel involved in incidents / occurrences, identify safety recommendations and findings, and monitor the implementation of corrective actions
- Conduct safety audits
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and effectiveness of the Safety Management System and to the development of the Safety Performance Indicators relevant to CAMO

You’ll be part of the compliance monitoring department, consisting of 10 passionate and talented professionals.
The Compliance Monitoring team plays a vital role in supporting safe and compliant operations through independent oversight.
Our key responsibilities include:
- Providing independent monitoring of the Management System to ensure effective and consistent implementation.
- Auditing and evaluating operational activities that may impact the safe operation of the airline.
- Verifying compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, international standards, Lufthansa Group policies, and internal procedures.
- Identifying non-compliances and actively requesting appropriate corrective actions.
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and operational excellence across all departments.
Through these efforts, we uphold the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance throughout the organization.
As a member of Lufthansa Group, the team is closely connected to the compliance monitoring colleagues of the Group as well!
You will report directly to the Head of Compliance Monitoring and work closely together with other auditors, safety investigators, CAMO management and many other important stakeholders.
Your profile

- Completed technical education, Part-66 AML or equivalent background in CAMO or Part-145 organization;
- At least 3 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance or engineering or aviation quality management / aeronautical industry.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; knowledge of Dutch / French is a plus;
- Good knowledge of management system principles and specific technical skills (can be obtained during formal theoretical and practical on the job training):
- Safety Management System;
- Compliance Monitoring System;
- EASA Regulations / IOSA standards relevant to Maintenance & Engineering;
- Auditing techniques;
- Investigation and interview techniques;
- General familiarization course (Level 1) on a A32F / A330.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- High integrity, discretion, ethical code in conduct, approachable attitude;
- Strong analytical thinking, solution driven, pro-active, result-oriented and problem-solving mindset;
- Willing to travel (maximum 20 of the time) to audit external MROs.
