Job Description SummaryGE Aerospace is offering the opportunity to work with the latest technologies and applications, specializing in aircraft engine design and analysis, in a technology base. Turkey Technology Center (TTC) in Kartal/Istanbul, is one of GE Aerospaces nine engineering centers throughout the world, supporting aviation-related R&D and innovation projects that expand with new investments.

The candidate will support studies related with

*Component cooling, film cooling and
*heat exchanger thermal design activities

Studies highly require solid (1) heat transfer fundamentals, (2)fluid dynamics fundamentals and (3)computational fluid dynamics experience and knowledge.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhere to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.
  • Document technical data generated by assigned projects consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
  • Provide an engineering support to shop on various projects and sustaining efforts.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate (year 3/4) of Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering (Double degree on Computer Science preferred).
  • Applications of candidates who will graduate in 2024 Spring semester will not be considered.
  • Good command of English & Turkish (reading/writing).
  • Good command of MS Office Skills (especially MS Excel and MS Power point).
  • Eager to learn, open to communication, self motivated
  • Sound understanding of physics relevant to heat transfer and fluid mechanics
  • Have understanding of CFX and Fluent
  • Have basic understanding of at least one modelling tool (e.g. Unigraphics, Solidworks etc.)

  • Solid heat transfer fundamental
  • Solid fluid dynamics fundamentals
  • Computational fluid dynamics experience and knowledge.
