What you can expect as a Facility Janitor at West Star:
This position is responsible for all necessary daily janitorial tasks around the hangars and facilities. The job duties will vary each day and are designated by the Facilities Maintenance Manager.
You will be ESSENTIAL to many FUNCTIONS including:
- Clean floors: sweep, dust, wet mop, scrub or vacuum.
- Service, clean and supply restrooms: toilets, urinals, sinks, fixtures, floors, trash, etc.
- Wet mop, strip, wax, seal and buff floors.
- Trash pick-up and removal, take to designated dumping area.
- Wash windows.
- Dust and clean light fixtures.
- Wash walls.
- Loading, unload, distribute supplies, service lobbies and high use areas and perform special cleaning.
- Operate powered equipment typically used in custodial operations.
- Keep janitorial closets clean and orderly.
- Paint touch up in break rooms and restrooms.
- Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
What you’ll need to bring with you:
Your Education
A High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Your Initiative
We’re looking for quality oriented team members who are self-motivated and able to work in a fast paced environment.
Your Responsibility
Attend work every day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments.
Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work.
Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.
Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.
Maintain a safe working environment.
Report unsafe conditions to Facilities Maintenance Manager.
Read and follow all label instructions on chemical materials and operating instructions for powered equipment.
Report accidents immediately to Facilities Maintenance Manager.
