Cybersecurity Intern- Security Operations Panasonic Avionics-Irvine, CA Panasonic Avionics Corporation is seeking motivated Cybersecurity Summer Intern to join our growing Hardware Engineering team in our Irvine, CA office. This paid internship will start in June and continue through August 2024 with an opportunity to potentially continue through the school year. MUST be enrolled in school during internship. How you will spend your summer: - Work with security operations team to support and operate vulnerability management program.
- Analyze vulnerabilities to help prioritize by risk.
- Monitor and track remediation efforts.
- Work with security operations team to review and analyze incidents.
- Analyze and review logs being consumed by our SIEM.
- Working with KONOS ticketing system.
What you bring to the internship:
- Education & Experience: Degree required/preferred
- Be a student in a Bachelors degree program from an accredited college/university
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Business Analytics, or similar field
- Problem Solving: Complexity of problems
- Motivated self-starter with initiative who can act independently as well as part of a team
- Creative problem-solver comfortable with helping stakeholders make risk-based decision
- Communications:
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage investigation of assets.
- Strong writing skills.
- Skills with Microsoft Suite
- Other Requirements: e.g. Working conditions, physical requirements, travel, etc.
The hourly wage range for this position is $17- $37. The final offer amount may vary and is based on the candidates year in school. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
