Key Responsibilities:

This position plays an important role in technology delivery of the Crew Scheduling Digital Solutions Recovery System (SRS). SRS allows airline to recover aircraft and crew schedules holistically with results that improve customer service, reduce disruption costs and increase crew resource utilization. This role will work closely with Product Manager, members from Digital Technology and Business on scoping, analysis, case development, systems integration, application development and support testing activities. This role will also work closely with our Analytics team to integrate decision support features using AI/ML technologies to achieve maximum automation.

The individual in this role will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues, opportunities, or problems in order to maximize the benefit of IT and Business investments. This individual should be experienced and self - sufficient in performing their responsibilities and at times be able to supervise a small team of contractors in application development. QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems and/or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of experience in design, development, documenting, testing, and debugging of new and existing software systems and/or applications for market sale or large-scale proprietary software for internal use.
  • Responsible for software development during the design/build phases of the SDLC
  • Participate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements.
  • Responsible for making sure in-progress builds follow the approved designs.
  • Perform coding and proper unit testing (including test class creations) for in progress changes and participate in peer review using Java.
  • Experience working with a diverse set of team members that are located on different time zones (such as an onshore/offshore staffing model)
  • Experience in developing and maintaining Micro Services Architecture with REST APIs
  • Development experience using AWS compute, storage and messaging services such as EC2, ECS, Lamda, S3, RDS, SQS etc.
  • Hands on experience working on Messaging platforms such as TIBCO, KAFKA, MQ etc. is required.
  • Experience developing application code and unit tests in Java, Spring (Boot, Data, Batch, Security)
  • Experience with Python preferably development of AI/ML applications
  • Experience on DevOps such as setting up AWS CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
  • Strong experience building SPA – Single page applications using Angular, React, JavaScript, TypeScript, Bootstrap and CSS3
  • Strong object-oriented design skills and the ability to analyze requirements and transform into scalable software designs using patterns and standard processes.
  • Technologies, and RESTful web services, Microservices, Messaging Architectures and RDBMS
  • Couchbase or other NOSQL Database
  • Proficiency with Git, CI-CD practices
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification.
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position.
