Job Title: Diesel Mechanic
Job DescriptionJoin our team at Dulles International Airport, where you will service catering trucks that transport refrigerated meals for aircraft passengers.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on medium-duty trucks.
- Repair and diagnose issues with diesel engines.
- Maintain and repair air brakes.
- Read and interpret schematics.
- Work on hydraulic systems and understand their functions.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical issues with trucks.
- Conduct wiring diagnostics.
- Address check engine lights and drivability issues.
Essential Skills- Expertise in preventative maintenance.
- Proficiency with hydraulics.
- Comprehensive knowledge of diesel engines and electrical systems.
- Ability to diagnose and repair truck engines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
- Capability to obtain an airport SIDA badge.
- Over 6 years of experience in diesel mechanics.
- Flexibility to work different shifts.
- Comprehensive understanding of diesel engines.

Work Environment
Mechanics receive tasks via tablets and work on a variety of assignments, from preventative maintenance to engine light checks and brake repairs. The team consists of four mechanics and one manager, working mainly with diesel trucks. The work takes place off the ramp, with shifts in the afternoon or mid-shift, typically from 10am to 6:30pm. Flexibility is required as two days off will be during the week.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $54000.00 - $81120.00/yr.
