Job Description
Join our specialized team working in a bench repair and testing environment at the Drive and Rotor shop. As a Drive & Rotor Technician, you will overhaul helicopter powertrain components, focusing on the disassembly, troubleshooting, repair, reassembly, testing, and certification of systems and related units for heavy-lift helicopters. Primarily assigned to the Rotor shop, you will work on disassembling and repairing rotor heads for Model 107 and Model 234 helicopters.
Responsibilities
- Disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, and reassemble rotor heads for heavy-lift Model 107 and Model 234 helicopters.
- Read and interpret maintenance manuals.
- Clean and inspect drive and rotor components for damage and wear using visual examination and specialized tools.
- Replace or repair damaged or worn drive and rotor parts using hand tools, special tools, pneumatic tools, and precision measuring equipment.
- Reassemble and test components, and document inspection findings and corrective actions in maintenance records.
Essential Skills
- Experience in rotor and helicopter repair.
- Proficiency in aircraft maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Expertise in aircraft engine maintenance and powertrain maintenance.
- Experience in removing, replacing, and repairing rotor heads on helicopters.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Helicopter maintenance experience, with a preference for CH-47.
- Possession of basic tools (list provided).
- Preferred military or commercial powertrain maintenance and/or component maintenance training (Army MOS 15D).
- Commitment to a long-term career in the overhaul shop.
- US Person status per ITAR regulations.

Work Environment
Work in the component division of an MRO facility, specifically in the Drive & Rotor shop area, which is divided between Transmission and Rotors. Initial work schedule is a 5-day week (8am - 4:30pm) for several weeks, transitioning to a 4-day schedule (6am - 4:30pm), either Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $40.00/hr.
