This role involves picking up and delivering equipment, parts, and materials between maintenance shops, warehouses, and flight-line locations. You will assist drivers with route awareness and ensure safe maneuvering in tight or active airport areas. Additionally, loading and unloading equipment and materials while ensuring items are secured and protected during transport is a key aspect of the job.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver equipment, parts, and materials between maintenance shops, warehouses, and flight-line locations.
• Assist drivers with route awareness and safe maneuvering in tight or active airport areas.
• Load and unload equipment and materials, ensuring items are secured during transport.
• Assist GSE mechanics by performing minor service tasks and basic equipment support duties.
• Set up, operate, and reposition ground support equipment as required.
• Fuel ground support equipment and flight-line equipment when assigned.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA guidelines, and airport/flight-line regulations.
• Use proper PPE and safe lifting techniques at all times.
• Communicate clearly with supervisors, drivers, mechanics, and logistics staff.
• Assist with paperwork, delivery verification, and inventory checks as needed.
• Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or delivery discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicles, equipment, and work areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support logistics and operational needs.

• Proficiency in driving and operating forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Experience in loading, unloading, and securing materials for transport.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and safety management.
• Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

• Ground Support & Operations experience.
• Understanding of safety compliance and regulations.
• Ability to perform duties in varying weather conditions.
• Basic data entry and customer support skills.

Work Environment

This role involves working outdoors, which can be very hot at times. The position requires adherence to safety regulations and proper use of PPE. The work environment encourages teamwork and communication to ensure efficiency and safety.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, TX.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
