EHS Advisor
Job Description:

Tasks

The key responsibilities and duties of the EHS Advisor include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with all departments to ensure ongoing EHS compliance
  • Lead risk assessments, COSHH reviews, and accident investigations
  • Support ISO 14001 & 45001 audits to maintain group certification
  • Develop and implement EHS policies in line with UK law and LHT standards
  • Drive H&S targets, training, and cross-functional safety initiatives
  • Manage REACH compliance and hazardous substance assessments
  • Oversee PPE standards and ensure proper EHS testing protocols
  • Partner with HR on occupational health and first aid coordination
  • Contribute to quality system updates and deputise for the Security Manager
  • Represent the business within the wider Lufthansa Technik EHS community

Requirements

The ideal Candidate should meet the following requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or similar field—or equivalent experience
  • NEBOSH or IOSH qualification preferred
  • Auditing experience with ISO 14001 or 45001 is a plus
  • Background in EHS, ideally within aviation or a regulated industry
  • Skilled in risk assessments, audits, and MSDS reviews
  • Strong team player with excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and reporting tools
  • Proactive, organised, and solutions-focused with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and influencing change

Working conditions:

  • Based in Hayes with potential for hybrid work post-training
  • Full-time role with occasional travel as required
