Tasks
The key responsibilities and duties of the EHS Advisor include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with all departments to ensure ongoing EHS compliance
- Lead risk assessments, COSHH reviews, and accident investigations
- Support ISO 14001 & 45001 audits to maintain group certification
- Develop and implement EHS policies in line with UK law and LHT standards
- Drive H&S targets, training, and cross-functional safety initiatives
- Manage REACH compliance and hazardous substance assessments
- Oversee PPE standards and ensure proper EHS testing protocols
- Partner with HR on occupational health and first aid coordination
- Contribute to quality system updates and deputise for the Security Manager
- Represent the business within the wider Lufthansa Technik EHS community
Requirements
The ideal Candidate should meet the following requirements:
- Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or similar field—or equivalent experience
- NEBOSH or IOSH qualification preferred
- Auditing experience with ISO 14001 or 45001 is a plus
- Background in EHS, ideally within aviation or a regulated industry
- Skilled in risk assessments, audits, and MSDS reviews
- Strong team player with excellent communication and coordination skills
- Confident using Microsoft Office and reporting tools
- Proactive, organised, and solutions-focused with a continuous improvement mindset
- Comfortable working cross-functionally and influencing change
Working conditions:
- Based in Hayes with potential for hybrid work post-training
- Full-time role with occasional travel as required
