Job Description:
Job Summary: The EHS and FAA Part 145 Training Coordinator is responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe, compliant, and efficient work environment by overseeing all aspects of the company’s Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) program and FAA Part 145 training requirements. This position manages day-to-day EHS operations, conducts internal audits for safety, quality, and environmental compliance, and provides technical training for employees in accordance with FAA, EASA, OSHA, and other regulatory standards.
The role includes developing and delivering training programs, sampling and monitoring all required OSHA industrial hygiene elements, writing and improving processes, and driving a proactive safety culture throughout the organization. The coordinator will serve as a key liaison during audits and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage all day-to-day EHS activities, including hazard identification, mitigation, and compliance reporting.
- Conduct and oversee required OSHA industrial hygiene (IH) sampling and testing, including air quality, noise, respirator fit, chemical exposure, and other safety-related monitoring.
- Maintain accurate records of medical surveillance, IH data, and EHS audits.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive EHS policies, procedures, and training materials.
- Lead investigations of safety-related incidents, near misses, and environmental concerns, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
- Serve as primary liaison with regulatory agencies and auditors.
- Design, deliver, and maintain FAA Part 145 technical training programs for all relevant personnel.
- Coordinate train-the-trainer initiatives to ensure sustainable, in-house training capability.
- Ensure all employees receive up-to-date training on EHS policies, FAA regulations, and company-specific procedures.
- Track and document training progress to meet FAA, OSHA, and company compliance requirements.
- Perform internal audits for safety, quality, and environmental compliance to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare the organization for external audits by FAA, EASA, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies.
- Always maintain readiness for customer and regulatory inspections.
- Collaborate with leadership to implement corrective actions resulting from audit findings.
- Identify and implement improvements to EHS and training processes to increase efficiency and reduce risk.
- Develop and maintain Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and action plans.
- Regularly review company policies to ensure alignment with the latest regulatory requirements.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Aviation Maintenance, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a safety, quality, or regulatory compliance role, preferably in an aviation or manufacturing environment.
- Strong background in regulatory compliance, such as EHS, QA, OSHA, HAZWOPER, FAA, and EASA requirements.
- Experience with industrial hygiene sampling and monitoring, including air quality, chemical exposure, noise testing, respirator fit testing, preferred.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations, including but not limited to OSHA, FAA Part 145, DOT, EPA, and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA).
- Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check.

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift fifty (25) lbs. Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for prolonged periods of time, climb steps, ladders and/or service stands.
