Supports the process development, testing or material characterization task in accordance with lab responsibilities 

                                                                                                                               

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assist the more experienced technician, specialist, engineers, team leader in planning and scheduling of lab activities and support project leader on specific tasks​
  • Support operations per lab owner’s direction and involve subject matter expert (SME) for issue resolution.  ​
  • Provides direction and oversight to the maintenance personnel during the planning and execution of Preventive Maintenance (PM’s) plans & Repair  – (Maintaining facility)​
  • Coordinates with Evendale Calibration Lab to complete calibrations or directly completes calibrations in accordance with GE Policy ​
  • Following and Maintaining area Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures and other operating / safety practices and procedures.​
  • Support and perform work in compliance to all Environmental, Health, and Safety programs, policies and regulations​
  • Interface with external organizations & internal supporting functions to define program schedules and plans that support business needs​
  • Work under minimal supervision while being proficient in identifying issues or problems with equipment, processes, and/or products​
  • Periodically prepare and implement supporting work plans to update equipment to enhance lab capabilities​
  • Document and communicate work product & observations in accordance with work instructions ​
  • Contribute to lab operations standard work for documentation and process improvements ​

Qualifications/Requirements:

Associate degree in an applicable technical discipline (i.e. Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technologies Electronic Technology, Chemical Technology, etc.) and/or a high school diploma (or GED equivalent) with a least one year of work experience in a relevant field ​

  • Basic computer and/or machine programming skills ​

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
