Job Description:

Aerotek on behalf of its client is seeking Repair technicians responsible for testing, troubleshooting, dissembling, repairing, reassembling, testing, certifying, and documenting on various types of aircraft avionics equipment and related systems - Lights, wire harnesses, electro-mechanical actuators, and other systems for aircraft interiors. Pay $28-30/hr DOE. Must be open to any shift/weekends.

Description:

Supporting heavy maintenance of commercial aircraft for airline customers, to ensure safe operations of aircraft electronics in-flight. Working in the Component Shop area of this large MRO facility.

Key Responsibilities:

-Set up and operate precision test equipment for alignment, troubleshooting and testing of electronic equipment and systems

-Use standard test equipment, oscilloscopes, ohmmeters, signal generators, spectrum analyzers etc.,

-Have a working knowledge of various avionics systems, basic electronics theories and associated circuitry and components.

-Align and adjust advanced electrical components on units being tested to ensure proper functioning of electrical circuits, utilizing established test procedures.

-Analyze circuitry and physically check wiring and operation of various electronic parts, units, and system components necessary to locate malfunction causes found during testing of components, equipment or systems.

-Performs electrical/mechanical repair operations consisting of disassembly and assembly of units. Determine requirements and install modifications as set forth by Service Bulletin or other authorized documentation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

2+ years of recent electro-mechanical assembly or repair experience, using hand and power tools and schematics

Must be able to look at a diagram and tool list, select appropriate tools (various sockets, hand and power, measurement tools, hand wrenches)

Must be eligible for FAA DOT safety-sensitive hire
