Job Title: Electrical PLC Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Technician who will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical and control systems. The ideal candidate will have a experience in instrumentation and data acquisition systems, as well as the ability to work independently on complex projects with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Install and terminate wiring to pad instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
• Install connectors, connector pins, terminals, and lugs.
• Perform continuity checks and correct wiring errors using instruments such as ohmmeters and voltage calibrators.
• Support fellow technicians and engineering staff using shop assembly equipment and hand tools.
• Collaborate with design engineers to troubleshoot failures and issues derived from test data.
• Create and organize work planning documents and instructions.
• Generate purchase orders from vendor quotes.
• Lead complex projects with little to no oversight.
• Install and modify electrical conveyances, including conduit and cable tray.
• Build and terminate electrical power equipment up to 480VAC.
• Troubleshoot and maintain PLC-based manufacturing hardware.
• Fabricate support structures, enclosures, and conveyances for electrical distribution equipment.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 1+ years of professional experience working with instrumentation such as transducers, accelerometers, or thermocouples.
• Understanding of basic direct current electrical theory.
• Ability to design and fabricate simple electrical circuits.
• Proficiency in using power and hand tools.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cape Canaveral, FL.

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $38.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Cape Canaveral,FL.
