Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Technician who will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical and control systems. The ideal candidate will have a experience in instrumentation and data acquisition systems, as well as the ability to work independently on complex projects with minimal oversight.
Responsibilities
- Install and terminate wiring to pad instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
- Install connectors, connector pins, terminals, and lugs.
- Perform continuity checks and correct wiring errors using instruments such as ohmmeters and voltage calibrators.
- Support fellow technicians and engineering staff using shop assembly equipment and hand tools.
- Collaborate with design engineers to troubleshoot failures and issues derived from test data.
- Create and organize work planning documents and instructions.
- Generate purchase orders from vendor quotes.
- Lead complex projects with little to no oversight.
- Install and modify electrical conveyances, including conduit and cable tray.
- Build and terminate electrical power equipment up to 480VAC.
- Troubleshoot and maintain PLC-based manufacturing hardware.
- Fabricate support structures, enclosures, and conveyances for electrical distribution equipment.
Essential Skills
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
- 1+ years of professional experience working with instrumentation such as transducers, accelerometers, or thermocouples.
- Understanding of basic direct current electrical theory.
- Ability to design and fabricate simple electrical circuits.
- Proficiency in using power and hand tools.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cape Canaveral, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.00 - $38.00/hr.
