Amentum is currently seeking an Electrical Technician to support the Prototyping Integration Facility (PIF) of the Command, Control, Communication, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Center (C5ISR) at the Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. This project will provide the U.S. Army, U.S. Army Futures Command, U.S. Special Forces and the U.S. Marine Corps integration of C5ISR operational prototypes onto a range Military Weapon Systems & Platforms (air, ground & sea) as well as performing C5ISR prototyping, integration, and testing support based on Real-World emerging needs of the Warfighter.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the C5ISR Center in the Fabrication and Integration / Future Systems & Experimentation Branches.
- Distinguish between hardware and software problems in multi-vendor systems.
- Perform installation, test, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair for communications equipment, electronics equipment, large computers, minicomputers, or microprocessors, including buses for those in a networked environment.
- Install, operate, troubleshoot communications-electronics equipment, power distribution systems, signal distribution systems and RF distribution systems for complex systems such as military shelters, aircraft, ground vehicles, etc., as may be applicable.
- Work from, and assist in the development of, engineering drawings.
- Work independently, with minimal supervision.
- As required, manage a team of electronic technicians.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- 8 years’ experience in electronics practices, of which 5 years shall be related to the fabrication and installation of components for communications-electronics installations in military systems
- Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance or the ability to obtain one. Please note US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret Clearance
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Positive Attitude and ability to work within an existing team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduate of a technical school
- 4 + years’ experience with basic cable fabrication RF/ Coaxial, ethernet, multi conductor termination and mil-spec connector assembly, Familiar with IPC industry standards covering Wiring Harness manufacturing and Soldering.
- Have worked with IMS (Inventory management systems) for 1 to 3 years. Programs like GCSS-A, AWARDS, Job Boss, etc.
- Able to use Multi-Meters, Mili-ohm meters, network analyzers, RF analyzers, Oscilloscopes, benchtop power supplies and other associated electrical fabrication equipment.
- C5ISR experience
- Able to produce written instruction, clear and effective verbal communication skills
- Experience or exposure to utilizing CAD models to referencing engineering drawings
- Microsoft office certified
