Job Title: Electrical Technician & Controls Technician
Job DescriptionJoin a dedicated team working at the Starship Launchpad, contributing to the construction and maintenance of essential infrastructure. This role involves long hours in a heavy construction environment with exposure to heights.
Responsibilities
- Install and terminate wiring for pad instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
- Install connectors, connector pins, terminals, and lugs.
- Perform continuity checks and correct wiring errors using instruments such as ohmmeters and voltage calibrators.
- Collaborate with design engineers to troubleshoot issues derived from test data.
- Write, create, and organize work planning documents and instructions.
- Generate purchase orders from vendor quotes.
- Lead complex projects with minimal oversight.
- Install and modify electrical conveyances, including conduit and cable trays.
- Build intricate cable assemblies using Mil-C connectors and contacts.
- Troubleshoot AC power distribution equipment up to 480VAC.
- Perform on-site repairs and maintenance of electrical components.
Essential Skills- 3+ years of professional experience in a construction electrical environment.
- Ability to assemble and repair electrical components on-site.
- Proficiency in wiring terminations, wire routing, and wire harness fabrication.
- Knowledge of sensors, Mili-Amps, cable pulls, and terminations.
- Experience with mechanical calibration and PLC programming.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Associate degree in Aerospace Technology or a related technical field.
- 2+ years of experience with launch site instrumentation.
- Familiarity with ISO 9000, IPC-620, and ICP-610 standards.
- Quality inspection experience with harnessing and cables.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to design and fabricate simple electrical circuits.
- Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with power tools and hand tools.

Work Environment
This role involves working in the field on the Starship Launchpad with 12-hour shifts, 5 or 6 days a week. The environment is heavy construction, requiring the ability to work at heights and handle electrical troubleshooting and repairs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cocoa, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
