Description
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to support the build and integration of advanced drone systems. This role is responsible for assembling structural and mechanical components, supporting fixture setup, and ensuring high-quality builds of precision aerospace hardware. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced working with small, complex assemblies in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform complex electro-mechanical assembly tasks independently, working from schematics, drawings, verbal or written instructions
- Assembling structural frames, mounts, sensors, and mechanical subassemblies using precision hand tools and power tools (e.g., torque screwdrivers, soldering irons)
- Set up and maintain assembly and inspection fixtures (including server-based fixtures) to support repeatable, high-quality builds
- Use precision hand tools and power tools such as torque screwdrivers, soldering irons, and specialized assembly equipment
- Assemble, align, and secure sensitive components with tight tolerances and attention to detail
- Inspecting parts against engineering drawings, using measurement tools like calipers and micrometers
- Provide real-time design and assembly feedback to Manufacturing and Quality teams, escalating and resolving build issues through proper channels
- Follow detailed Manufacturing Process Instructions and strict safety procedures when building assemblies.
- Meet aggressive deadlines and flexibly shift priorities across multiple projects.
- Record and update production and quality data
Core Skills
-Mechanical assembly
-Experience using hand/power tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, torque drivers, drills, calipers/measurement tools, etc.)
-Ability to read basic SOP’s, technical work instructions, and follow directions
- Soldering

- Following Manufacturing protocols
- Basic computer skills ex. MacOS or Microsoft
- Needs to have great problem-solving skills, good judgment, & proactivity
- Strong attention to detail
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 2 - 3 years of experience needed, this is an intermediate-level position
- Mechanical Assembly experience in a Production/Manufacturing environment is needed
- Read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and blueprints
