Location: Melbourne, FL Payrate: $48.38/hour Schedule: 2nd shift: 2pm to 10pm
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to hire a Staff Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) Technician who will help drive safety, compliance, and environmental responsibility across operations. This role is ideal for a skilled professional ready to take on broader responsibilities, influence EH&S programs, and contribute to a culture where safety and performance go hand in hand.
Role OverviewAs a Staff EH&S Technician, you will support the design, implementation, and oversight of EH&S programs that protect employees and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. You’ll analyze environmental data, produce meaningful reports, and help guide team members while contributing to continuous improvement in safety practices. Your work will directly impact both workplace safety and community responsibility.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the development, implementation, and maintenance of EH&S programs and procedures
Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations across facilities
Translate, distribute, and maintain EH&S policies, procedures, manuals, and safety communications
Collect and analyze moderately complex environmental data on a recurring basis (monthly, quarterly)
Prepare and deliver EH&S reports for internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies
Develop reports for federal/state agencies, trade associations, and industry groups
Train and guide lower-level staff on EH&S systems, processes, and data management
Review and refine communication materials related to safety performance and production goals
Track progress and document findings for mid-scale EH&S projects
Assist in orienting, assigning, and reviewing the work of technical and support staff
Required QualificationsAssociate degree (AA/AS) or equivalent post-secondary training
Minimum of 6 years of relevant EH&S or related experience
Strong understanding of EH&S regulations, compliance practices, and reporting processes
Experience collecting and analyzing environmental and safety data
Ability to solve moderately complex problems and adapt processes as needed
Strong organizational, analytical, and documentation skills
Ability to work under moderate supervision while managing multiple priorities
Preferred QualificationsExperience in aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing environments
Familiarity with federal and state environmental and safety reporting requirements
Experience developing EH&S communications and training materials
Demonstrated ability to mentor or guide junior staff
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Pay Details: $48.38 per hour
