Dassault Falcon Jet recently opened a state-of-the-art flagship Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility at the Melbourne Orlando International Airport (MLB) in Melbourne, Florida. Dassault Falcon Jet will serve customers across North and South America and beyond, the complex will accommodate all current Falcon models, (including the new, ultra-long-range Falcon 10X, the largest purpose-built business jet), and will be capable of performing major maintenance and modifications on up to 18 Falcon models.
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Facilities Manager, the MLB Facilities Technician is responsible for the comprehensive maintenance of equipment at the MRO facility. This role includes the upkeep and security of the Melbourne MRO, the Paint hangar, and the Rialto office facilities, with a strong emphasis on Employee Health and Safety. Key responsibilities involve supporting various facility-related activities, including HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, tooling, ground support equipment, fire and safety measures, parking lot maintenance, and landscaping.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Five (5) years of experience in facilities maintenance
- Valid drivers license required with good motor vehicle record
- Experience in Commercial HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, and automotive repair.
- Ability to drive forklift and obtain certificate
- Knowledge and ability to follow safety practices and recognize hazards
- Skill in using hand and power tools
- Read and interpret blueprints or wiring diagrams
- Basic computer skills
- Good organizational and communications skills
- Detail oriented
- Valid and active drivers license required
- Available 24/7 to respond to emergency operations that may be required during normal and non-business hours
ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- HAZWOPPER and or OSHA 30 Certified a plus
- MRO GSE equipment repair a plus
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- Must be able to accompany contractors throughout facilities, grounds and roof including satellite buildings
- Must be able to work safely in lifts up to 50 high and climb ladders
- Must be able to work in varying temperatures/weather conditions, both indoors and outdoors.
- Must be able to use hand tools
- Must be able to stand, sit, crouch, walk, bend and lift up to 50 pounds
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
- Conduct / oversee maintenance of facility and grounds of the MLB MRO facilities and buildings
- Assure optimal functioning of building systems (HVAC, fire/safety, electrical, plumbing, elevators, etc.) and perform basic preventive maintenance
- Maintaining tooling and ground support equipment for hangar
- Point of contact and supervision of all building contractors
- Schedules vendors, Supervise work of building contractors and services
- Set up furniture/deliver furniture to employees
- Provide assistance for set up of events
- Pick up parts, tools for the facilities as needed.
- Must be reliable, decisive, independent, work well with others, and a self-starter.
- Responsible for all activities pertaining to Environmental, Health and Safety
- Interface professionally with company employees, customers and government officials in all areas relating to the environment, health, and safety. Provide guidance and advice to management in support of EHS programs and compliance
- Conduct routine audits for environmental, health and safety compliance
- Maintain and ensure environmental compliance with permits, reports and company objectives. Key environmental tasks include oversight of Hazardous Waste/RCRA, Title V Air, Storm water, and Chemical Management Programs.
- Knowledge of federal, state and local EHS regulations.
- Perform other related duties as required/assigned.

Compensation and Benefits:
The compensation for this position typically falls between $28 and $40 per hour. This position is eligible for overtime and may be eligible for shift differential or relocation assistance. Note, the final compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of relevant experience, Falcon-specific experience, relevant education/certifications, geographic location, and shift.
