Facilities Technician – Marina (Temporary)
Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Technician with 5–8 years of hands-on experience in facilities maintenance and operations. This temporary role will support ongoing site projects, equipment installations, and facility upgrades. The ideal candidate is experienced in collaborating with engineers and vendors, has a strong background in fabrication, and is committed to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with new equipment installations, including setup, mechanical/electrical connections, and system integration.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and external contractors on facility improvement projects.
  • Perform fabrication work (e.g., basic welding, cutting, custom fixture assembly) as part of facility modifications.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot building systems and equipment (HVAC, plumbing, lighting, etc.).
  • Conduct routine inspections and respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and site safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance tasks, installations, and safety checks.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
Required
  • 2+ years of experience in facilities maintenance or equivalent technical role.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards, workplace safety practices, and industrial protocols.
  • Proficient in using tools, measuring devices, and fabrication equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Desired
  • Technical certifications (e.g., HVAC, welding, electrical) a plus.
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and Smartsheet or similar platforms.
  • Experience working in manufacturing, lab, or cleanroom environments is preferred.

The target base pay for this position is $27-$36/hr. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
