Job Description:
Job Summary: The Facility Escort is responsible for supporting secure and efficient operations at Roswell Air Center by escorting authorized personnel within the SIDA (Security Identification Display Area), assisting with aircraft support logistics, and performing general airfield and hangar maintenance. This position requires adherence to airport security protocols and the ability to work in a physically demanding, safety-sensitive environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Escort vendors, customers, and other authorized personnel in the SIDA area in compliance with TSA and airport security regulations.
Deliver parts and materials to personnel working on aircraft in the field.
Clean and maintain hangar and ramp areas.
Conduct FOD (Foreign Object Debris) inspections and removal around aircraft and airfield.
Serve as a spotter for personnel operating boom and scissor lifts.
Mow and maintain grounds around aircraft and airfield areas.
May be required to operate forklifts and other ground support equipment.
May be required to operate boom and scissor lifts.
Assist with various operational and maintenance tasks as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must be able to pass TSA Security Threat Assessment and a 10-year background check.
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol tests.
Skills and Abilities:
Must be self-motivated and reliable.
Will be trained to drive on the airfield and operate safely around aircraft.
Will be trained and certified as a spotter for lift operations.
Basic computer skills are a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to stand or walk on hard surfaces for extended periods.
Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
