Job Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma, general education degree (GED)
- 6+ months of experience in a GKN Aerospace Facility.
- Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations and/or program requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Must pay careful attention to all safety requirements.
- Ability to interpret and record readings from calipers and micrometers.
- Above average hand and eye coordination. Demonstrated ability to obtain a forklift operator’s license and drive a forklift safely.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly stands, walks, and reaches with hands and arms while holding and manipulating tongs/parts.
- Frequently required to bend, stoop, reach at or above shoulder level, and carry up to 60 pounds independently or up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Regularly exposed to furnace heat, and occasionally exposed to dust and fumes.
- Frequent operation of forklift.
