Job Description

We are seeking a skilled mechanic to troubleshoot, diagnose, adjust, and repair various equipment and vehicles, focusing on electrical, brake, hydraulic, cooling, and power steering systems. The role involves performing preventative and corrective maintenance independently while ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, hydraulic, cooling, and power steering systems, as well as engines and other standard electrical components.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance and inspections according to manufacturer and customer requirements.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations while maintaining rigorous quality control and product integrity.
• Act responsibly to prevent injuries, adhere to safety regulations, use safety equipment appropriately, and promote health and safety initiatives.

Essential Skills

• Experience with diesel or Ground Support Equipment (GSE) maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repair techniques.
• Valid Driver’s License required; CDL preferred.
• Must provide personal hand tools.

Work Environment

This on-site role is based at our workshop, requiring regular movement across the workshop, yard, and airside areas, as well as office-based administrative work. Working hours are Monday to Friday from 6 am to 8 pm, with shifts from 6 am to 2:30 pm and 11:30 am to 8 pm, and Saturday/Sunday hours from 6 am to 2:30 pm. The position includes some overtime and requires working 5 days with one weekend day, offering two consecutive days off. Physical requirements include frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. Exposure to noise, weather, and typical industrial hazards is expected, and good vision and hearing are essential.

This is a Permanent position based out of Fort Lauderdale, FL.

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $68640.00/yr.
