Boeing is seeking for a Global Field Operations Representative to join the Supplier Management team in Israel. The position will be responsible for dealing with local suppliers and provide support and insights to our different factories. This role requires up to 80 travelling mostly in country.

Suppliers offices are located in the north part of the country. Required travels will be within this area.

This position does not require applicants to live in Tel Aviv (Israel).

Position Responsibilities

  • Monitors emergent offload/overload suppliers including systems, processors, machine shop and sheet metal shop to ensure schedule compliance and product conformity.

  • Identifies, establishes and maintains priorities for deliveries of products, services and data that support necessary supplier contractual corrective actions and resolution of issues (e.g., poor schedule performance, product and producibility issues) to ensure contractual compliance.

  • Communicates across functions (e.g., procurement agents, suppliers, internal customers, field quality, engineering, manufacturing) to report status and concerns.

  • Co-facilitates with the supplier the development of a recovery plan and unplanned demand requirements. Identifies needs for training on business and manufacturing practices (e.g., requirements interpretation and clarification, contractual compliance, scheduling tools, technical skills, self assessment) to supplier personnel for improvement or enhancement delivery performance.

  • Participates with the procurement agent in on-site supplier assessments (e.g., Preferred Supplier Certification, Proof of Process and Rate Readiness) to identify supplier capacity and capability to perform current and projected work statement and support Boeing procurement strategy.

  • Monitors suppliers performance-to-plan to ensure compliance to contractual requirements and provides status back to supervisor and procurement agent.

  • Identifies and communicates opportunities to implement new processes or improves existing processes and reports back to management and make recommendation to procurement agent.

  • Assesses supplier resource plan and reports results to supervisor/procurement agent. Supports work movement as requested by supervision.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • Knowledge of Lean principles and Boeing Problem Solving Model, Tools and Processes and how to apply them in work environments.

  • Knowledge of the procurement process used at company sites in order to track procurement obligations such as, schedule compliance, quantity and past performance.

  • Knowledge of government, company, and local policies, procedures, and regulations.

  • Knowledge of strategic sourcing objectives including supply base optimization, enterprise leveraging, supplier performance improvement and business considerations to develop the companys supplier base.

  • Knowledge of supplier assessment processes including Preferred Supplier Certification and Work Transfer Process.

  • 7+ years of relevant working experience.

  • Bachelor or equivalent or higher in Engineering or related field of studies.

  • Fluency in English.

  • Existing rights to work in Israel.

  • Ability to travel.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Fluency in Hebrew and English  

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years related work experience, 10 years related work experience, etc.).

This position does not offer relocation.
