We are seeking a Graduate Scientist Engineer to contribute to our dynamic team at Dorset Innovation Park, Winfrith. As a key participant in our Engineering Graduate Programme, you will utilise and develop your technical knowledge to offer innovative solutions within a robust engineering framework. Step into a permanent role from day one and embark on a 2-year Graduate Scheme, gaining hands-on application of theory and mentorship from experienced professionals. As a Graduate Scientist Engineer, your scope will include performing research and development in the Sonar and Underwater Platform Signatures domains. AEUK is involved in diverse technical areas, such as the development of Sonar sensors, analogue and digital electronics, signal processing, image analysis, data science, machine learning, and more.
Your role will involve using technical knowledge to provide solutions, contribute to bids and projects, write reports, and offer advice on technical matters. Engage in simulation, modeling, and test and measurement of acoustic and non-acoustic systems, supporting the team in technical liaison with customers to ensure agreement on requirements.

- Interest or past experience in engineering or the marine industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills for interaction at all levels
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Team-focused with strong time management skills
- Ability to work independently and use own initiative, especially under pressure
- Willingness to travel in the UK and overseas
