Position SummaryReporting to the Customer Support Manager, the Aircraft Groomer’s primary responsibility is to ensure that the inside of the aircraft and hangar buildings are maintained adhering to Perimeter’s safe and sanitary cleaning procedures.Personal CharacteristicsHighly flexible with the ability to respond quickly in a dynamic environmentProfessional and respectful with a positive work attitudeTimely with a high level of commitment to on-time performance is essentialMotivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a teamEffective verbal and written communication skillsHigh level of respect, understanding and regard for First Nations communitiesProven time management skills with strong attention to detailKey Responsibilities and AccountabilitiesMaintain knowledge in the safe and correct use of all daily required cleaning chemicals, ensuring that proper safety equipment is worn, i.e. hearing protection worn at all times near running aircrafts, nitrile gloves worn when cleaning washrooms or using chemicals for cleaning, safety vests and ramp passes must be worn while on the rampComplete assigned work schedules and adjust schedule to meet additional customer and/or cleaning needsReturn equipment to proper location in proper working condition and properly emptied of solutions, cleaned and ready for the next usePerform other duties as assignedMinimum Required Education, Experience and CertificationsHigh school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalentIndigenous and Cultural Awareness Training considered an assetMust be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations6-12 months general janitorial cleaning and customer service experience preferredAbility to perform and demonstrate proper cleaning and floor care techniquesWorking ConditionsPhysical ability to perform all listed job duties including but not limited to bending, sitting, standing, lifting to a maximum of 50lbs, pushing and pulling on a daily basisSafety equipment will be required; hearing protection, nitrile gloves, safety vests and ramp passes when on rampWork performed both indoors and outdoors, employee must be able to adapt to all outdoor weather conditions
