Role and Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Assistant will report to the Logistics Group Lead and assist the GSE Technician.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in the repair and testing of ground support equipment
- Assist in maintaining tools and equipment.
- Maintain equipment maintenance records.
- Assist in ordering equipment spares and material.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
- Shop 5S (garbage removal, cleaning floors, putting away tool boards, etc.)
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience
- Proof of registration in a post-secondary educational institution in the fall semester 2024.
Other Required Training or Skills
- Ability to work under pressure within tight deadlines
- Ability to manage several tasks at once and set priorities, willing and able to work in a constantly changing environment
- Ability to recognize opportunities and suggest ideas to Project manager and customers as needed.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suit (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) is required.
- Experience in JIRA will be considered an asset.
- Must have a valid driveru2019s licence.
- Must be able to lift 40lbs.
- Minimum age of eighteen (18)
Candidate must successfully pass a security evaluation per the requirements of the Controlled Goods Directorate of Canada and to CAE being able to obtain all necessary re-transfer authorization in compliance with US ITAR regulations
