Job Title: Facility Maintenance Technician
Job Description
As an Facility Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining facilities within the aviation industry. This position involves performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the safety and functionality of the buildings and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day facility maintenance and repairs, including basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, doors, fixtures, and lighting.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment; document and report findings.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and urgent facility issues; act as a first responder to system failures when needed.
- Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot facility issues to minimize downtime.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and overall safety of the facility and surrounding areas.
- Set up, break down, and relocate furniture, equipment, and materials as required.
- Ensure supply rooms and bathrooms are properly stocked at all times.
- Perform cleaning duties when required.
- Coordinate and oversee vendors and outside contractors for specialized repairs or larger projects.
- Assist with facility-related projects and improvements.
- Monitor and respond to security and safety concerns.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and company policies.
Essential Skills
- Experience in building maintenance within the aviation industry.
- Working knowledge of general maintenance systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; able to work independently and take ownership of issues.
- Hands-on experience using hand and power tools, multimeters, and basic diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more and perform physical tasks throughout the day.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in electrical, plumbing, facilities maintenance, HVAC, troubleshooting, painting, preventive maintenance, carpentry, drywall, lighting, and facility maintenance.
- Bilingual English and Spanish preferred

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $38.00/hr.
