POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Helicopter Mechanic to join our dynamic team, specializing in installations and modifications on SH-60 helicopters. In this role, you will be responsible for performing structural, electrical, and mechanical upgrades, ensuring compliance with safety standards and technical specifications. This is a critical position requiring precision, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of aviation excellence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform structural modifications, component installations, and system upgrades on SH-60 helicopters according to engineering blueprints and technical manuals.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and avionics systems during installation or modification processes.
- Conduct pre- and post-installation inspections to ensure aircraft functionality and compliance with FAA, DoD, and company standards.
- Work collaboratively with engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure project timelines are met.
- Document maintenance activities, parts usage, and test results in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety regulations and best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in technology, modifications, and industry regulations.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in aircraft maintenance.
- H60 / H60 variant experience required.
- Familiarity with DoD standards and aviation technical orders (T.O.s).
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and avionics systems specific to rotary-wing aircraft.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialized aviation maintenance equipment.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment 10 panel NON DOT drug test and criminal background check.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the US
- Valid US Driver’s License
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- May work in hazardous working conditions, near flight lines; some assignments are within an uncontrolled climate facility.
- Must be able to see with corrective eye wear and hear clearly with assistance.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, or crouch.
- The employee may frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Expected to handle/manage hazardous materials/waste in accordance with regulatory and industrial standards.
- Wears/maintains personal protective equipment for eyes, face, head, hearing, extremities, respiratory devices, protective shields and barriers as required
