Our Human Resources Business Partners provide valuable strategic support through shared objectives and accountabilities with our clients within the Vancouver Flight Information Region (FIR).
We are looking for an HR thought leader who has strength in labour relations. You will develop and maintain close relationships with all key stakeholders including bargaining agents and actively participate in union consultations as required.

In this role you will:
- Understand business goals and needs and connect teams to the right individuals, business strategies, HR strategies, practices and solutions.
- Partner with the Senior Leaders to implement and deliver approaches to improve organizational, operational and people strategies.
- Customize HR, talent management and operational solutions to address specific business imperatives to positively impact operational performance in the region.
- Maintain expert knowledge and provide interpretations of collective agreements, corporate policies and practices.
- Research, provide coaching and lead investigations and resolutions of employee relations matters to promote the establishment and maintenance of excellent labour-management relations.
- Provide coaching and advice to support leadership teams with their decisions based on processes and programs.
- Draw upon the Centre of Excellence (CoE) and other HR functions to deliver required expertise, resources and services to drive customer / organizational imperatives.
- Ensure the talent strategy is aligned with the corporate goals and business unit’s needs.
- Provide direct management of the HR Business Advisor for the Vancouver FIR.
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or CHRP designation with 6-8 years of HR experience preferred, or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
- Proven HRBP experience working at senior levels across business entities.
- Management/leadership experience (preferably in Human Resources)
- Advanced knowledge of Canadian labour laws/standards.
- Advanced knowledge of working in a unionized work environment.

Working conditions
- This position is based at the Vancouver ACC Reporting into the office an average of 4 days per week.
- Occasional travel required.
